Meet the artist!
Hi my name is Adriana! I am lucky enough to been born and raised in the Vail Valley. I have always drawn inspiration from the mountains and the nature that surrounds me. In college I took a sculpting class, exploring 3D forms. I carved my first mountain range in this class and have been slowly making more over the years.
I typically harvest the wood on my own, cut the slabs with a chainsaw myself, then craft each piece by hand.
My goal is to somehow give back to the environment through my art.
I use pine beetle kill wood for a reason. By using this wood I help remove standing dead from the forests in Colorado thus removing fire fuel from our forests. I also love the different colors that you get with pine beetle kill wood. It makes each piece truly unique.
10% of my profits will be donated to Trees, Water, and People (https://treeswaterpeople.org/). Whose mission is to improve people's lives by helping communities protect, conserve, and manage the natural resources upon which their long-term well-being depends.
